2025: Cat + July 4= 4 Sleepless Nights

So thank goodness this year hasn't been as atrocious; thank heavens.
Kitty closet days was the 4th of course, and a few hours on July 3 and a lot of hours July 5.

Speaking of...someone setting fireworks off at 5am, and then tonight it has been 10, 11, midnight

They are not constantly going off, thank goodness, but enough to where it's messing up our cat's routine and woke everyone up

Oh about that "independence" thing, never applied to my ancestors anyway

This is funny; it was some farther away fireworks that went boom....boom
I was in the living room with Moonflower, rubbing my stomach (ugh the 4th of July meal as small as it was flared up my gastritis) 
and Moonflower went "was that you?"

😹😹
Me: You mean that noise we just heard?
Moonflower: Shakes her head yeah
Me: that was fireworks!! 😹
Joe: Just wow 😹

[Update]
This year turned out to be rough as well.
Took about 1 week and a few days for the fireworks to completely 100% stop.
I would think we made it through the day all nice and quite then like 10pm or something, there would be some going off.

Wait it is literally July 18th at 11:37pm while I'm typing this update and I literally hear some going off now😵🤮🤢
Luna thankfully hasn't gone back in the closest, as she was in there very long today earlier because of this:
