⛈️We are no longer in the eye anymore, thankfully! No longer a direct hit for my area
But 90 miles away
And we just had a huge wind gust that made us get up and look through everything again
(candles, windows, chargers, unplugging certain things, water etc)
🌀Cause I'm like, if that wind is this strong and it's 90 miles away
🫨Imagine when it makes landfall
🪫Power will be going out for sure
The question is, how long?
Yesterday when I was on the road, I saw they already had power trucks everywhere!
I was like dang, that is impressive
And with every storm the meteorologists use new phrases I've never heard before
This time they keep saying the phrase "wind shear" & I'm like now what is that?

This weather lady just said it is a fast moving storm
And we should be done by midnight
And that the backend of the storm is not well-formed

🌀2020 Hurricane Sally.
Chile....was very slow-moving.
She just sat over the land & slammed us!
It wasn't major wind damage or anything like that; thankfully no loss of life
Sill some misery though
It was flooding, lots of trees down, and power was not out that long compared to other people
But 2 days, long enough where I was feeling like I could survive back in the ancient tent days.
I started visualizing myself back in the jungle;
Which was about holding on to every inch of daylight & getting done what you can before dark.
I mean, keeping the curtains open, timing sunset, hearing no technology, no TV, no AC
What else you gonna do, lol?
