Because of that background music!! 

Christmas is over but I'm still continuing my Not Naughty, Just Nice: Black Christmas Movies

Initially I said I was not going to post the movies that made my Naughty list. Just turn the movie off and move on, right? But after this pattern I have noticed on the OWN Network Christmas movies, it's so absolutely bizarre that I need to talk about it

It's the single note that plays over and over and it doesn't match the dialogue or movie's theme.
I don't watch Hallmark movies (unless it's the one time in every 5 years they have a Black movie), but while watching Golden Girls I've seen plenty of their previews so it's that over-the-top, overly damn happy sounding instrumental music with just one note or whatever it is.

Hard to explain.
I had to stop 3 movies because of this. Also, because the actors were coming across too fake one minute, then good into character mode the next...just too happy sometimes even when you should be seeing some serious emotion or something.
Just weird, super weird and all over the place.
OPRAH!!!!

Here are the 3 movies I couldn't make it through; it's so disappointing because these are awesome plots but the execution is just way off for me:

-Baking Christmas
-One Fine Christmas
-Christmas Revisited

Carol's Christmas with Kimberly Elise and Jackee Harry
After stopping the 3 movies above, I decided to try Carol's Christmas with Kimberly Elise and Jackee Harry.
It started off okay but then damn music came and I started getting so mad.

As with all the movies I tried:
the story line is great
the set is great
the actors match except when they have them acting too happy and fake like in a typical Hallmark ass movie

So my movie aficionado (I can't pronounce that word lol), husband was like well what's the problem because I was fussing so much?

So during a scene, which was a serious scene in Carol's Christmas where the wife and husband are decorating the Christmas tree and she's stressed because of financial problems and he's looking for a job.

How about that hokey wack ass music was playing and I asked Joe to come watch this and tell me what's wrong. He listened and said the magic word for me which helped me get the problem. He said the music would be fine if it was a COMEDY!!!!!

I got so mad I said since Kimberly is so great in this, maybe I'll just watch it with the sound off. Then I was like well that's ridiculous, just stop the movie. 
Then Joe said something to the effect of chill out and so since the rest of the movie was way way better than the 3 mentioned above, I decided to keep watching and it actually turned out okay!!

So that's good. I enjoyed it.

So I've calmed down and some of the movies don't over do it too much with that background piano note or whatever, and also the characters were just much better and on point; the story line advanced. I was excited for "Christmas Revisited" and the storyline just wouldn't advance. Like, what is the underlying issues they have from college?
