Indiana just really beat Las Vegas; and in Las Vegas, and the game wasn't really close. This is insane!

These entire playoffs have been amazing, intense; and it's been great to see these women playing their hearts out after such a weird and lackluster regular season. The playoffs have definitely given life to the players again I'm loving their passion

Here are a few, quick thoughts about the WNBA 2025 season:

🏀A'ja Wilson is the MVP!
I thought it was going to Napheesa Collier. I don't really follow statistics that much though, I mostly go by emotion, so I thought it would be Napheesa.
I'm still shocked and disappointed about that time when they lost by 53 points to Las Vegas. I know it's neither here nor there, but that really changed how I felt about Vegas. However, they were saying there's a lot of conflict and changes in the front office and such. Either way they went on a winning streak but I just never thought I could see the Las Vegas Aces with A'ja, Chelsea Gray, Jewell Lloyd get blown out like that. How did that happen?

🏀Speaking of how and why? Damn New York Liberty. What in the absolute world. I was glad they didn't advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs because they have just been a pain to watch. I adore me some Natasha Cloud, Jonquel Jones and some others, I can't think of everyone. Breanna Stewart has swag for days. Sabrina Ionescu has just not been on point. B. Laney-Hamilton is injured and Lord they need her. Also, Ellie the Elephant, the best mascot in the world, deserves better.

🏀I love Dominique Molonga of the Seattle Storm. Ethically, I'm not supportive of national sports leagues having a 19 year-old under contract and such. I thought that 22 was the minimum age for the WNBA. I really hope she has both a mental and physical supreme level of success and stability. She's an absolute joy to watch!

🏀I adore Allisha Gray, Jordan Canada, Rhyne Howard etc and hated to see the Atlanta Dream go home in the first round, even though I was rooting for the Indiana Fever, someone had to lose. And what happened to my fave, my absolute fave Brittney Griner! She was herself in Unrivaled so what has happened in the regular and post season?Β

🏀Speaking of which, what I've seen of this season has felt like a fever dream. The injuries have been insane and depressing, something is not right there; but however, so many she-roes really struggled so much in other ways.

🏀As to be expected, Phoenix Mercury is not match for Minnesota; then again is anyone this season?Β
[Update: well that was typed when Phoenix was trailing large in Game 2, but amazingly, they ended up winning in overtime. Monumental comeback against the #1 team]

🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

The WNBA Hates the WNBA Players

Today is 9/28/2025 and I'm watching Game 4 of Las Vegas Aces at Indiana Fever, but let's go back to the other night for the Game 3s
Napheesa Collier, Cheryle Reeves, Alyssa Thomas

🏀What was going on with A'ja! I am rooting for Indiana since 'that guhl' is hurt and I want her team to shine without her, but I still didn't want to see A'ja play the way she did. Went 1 for 12; she missed like 9 shots in a row at one point. A'ja! So disappointing.

🏀Indiana Fever was kinda asleep and so was the crowd. Aces pulled the win off.

🏀❌Game 3 of expected -to-win-it-all Minnesota Lynx vs Phoenix Mercury, was at first Minnesota with a healthy lead, that's why I erroneously made the statement above about how no team is a match for Minnesota, but then wow! It was an amazing comeback to witness

❌I was already standing up at the TV because I was so shocked that the Lynx were about to lose, but then the infamous moment where Cheryl Reeve went nuclear, good god I was like, wow. That's a whole mental snap right there. I've been there, so I know what it feels like to snap. The referees have been disgustingly inconsistent and they and the people hiring them, deserve all the scrutiny and heat

❌However, for idiots on social 🤮media 🤮saying the terrible officiating is related to the injuries, that's a dumb ass lie.Β

❌The increase in injuries are a complex combination related to players' health history, training, scheduling, equipment, stress on their bodies, moving faster etc. Remember the evidence how the increase in ACL tears are related to everything from the tennis shoes to the floors to their bodies being put under more stress. ACL tears are happening in college and the NBA. Is that also due to "physicality"?

❌People are dumb ass fuck when it comes to these women. Whoever makes the schedules is also an idiot.
But, every sport is dealing with athletes whose bodies have been through the ringer and their bodies are pushed to the limit. Let's change that, their bodies are being pushed beyond what the human body can naturally do.Β
This is why the scheduling is so important

❌I literally chose not to watch the Track and Field World Championships because I am burnt out the increase in injuries, accidents, controversies, athletes personal mental health struggles and what have you.Β
It's too stressful, very little enjoyment.

✅I am glad that up to this point, the end of WNBA season and the playoffs had been peaceful

❌The terrible officiating leads to terrible tempers flaring, and just a chain reaction after that. However, the WNBA women are not being allowed to stomp each other to the ground and injure each other...you dumb ass hoes out there. These women actually respect the hell out of each other. And they get along.

They are competitive however they are not out to hurt each other like these hoe ass dummies online keep saying to promote their Neanderthal fantasies. Hoe asses

🥹My heart goes out to Napheesa Collier. Man! Especially since theu really should have won the Finals last year against the New York Liberty.Β
Back then, I thought that Napheesa was so boring but she is nowhere near boring. And so what if she was boring?Β

Looking forward to Unrivaled and hope she will be well.

🏀Shocked that the Minnesota Lynx are about to lose in the semi-finals to Phoenix Mercury. 76 to 81, with 27 seconds to go.
Just like the other night that Phoenix crowd is freakin INSANE. My ears hurt

----------------
9/30/2025

❌I started watching the Game 5 of Indiana Fever vs Las Vegas Aces and about 8 minutes into the game, when the Aces decided to challenge a bad referee call-it was one where A'ja Wilson had actually fouled the Fever players, but the referees called it on the other Aces player; I was like you know what, I'm not about to do this to myself

❌I stopped watching, as I was not about to sit here and wait for yet another review. Also, I am no good with knowing what's a foul. I only know what's a foul when they do the replays and then explain everything in slow motion.Β

❌I fixed my food, and then went to take a warm shower.Β

🥹When I typed in the game to see who won, it was 4th quarter and I saw that Kelsey Mitchell had gotten hurt and was ruled out for the rest of the game. So so sadddd!!!

❌I went to tell my husband, I don't know what's going but it's happening in the sports I watch and I just can't take it anymore.

🥹I remember during the Olympic Trials in 2024 for Women's Gymnastics, Shilese Jones and Skye Blakely got hurt-I was super sick to my stomach!!!! OMG I just about died. I literally can't. It's not even "just sports" it's just way too emotional

❌Even without the injuries, I felt Las Vegas would win and I was rooting for Indiana and I just didn't even feel like being disappointed. And wow they took it to overtime!

🏀I love the players for Vegas, love them: Chelsea Gray, A'ja Wilson, Jewell Loyd, and so on but just like with the New York Liberty, something was so severely lacking with their performances and it's just disappointing and not exciting to see these amazing players look lost

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW what a game 3 that was, wow!! And very heartbreaking in so many ways.

Final score: Las Vegas Aces 90, Phoenix Mercury 88

Well, before the game, I told my cat Luna that the Phoenix crowd is so loud that they're gonna have her little pointy ears hurting.Β  😺😸😽Cats with their triangle ears, so dang on cute. (Of course her ears weren't going to be hurting)

I was ready for my ears to hurt a little though, but the Aces hit so many 3's in a row that the crowd was stunned and never took off to be as loud as they could be.

I was on the phone when Satou Sabally went down💔so I couldn't hear what was going on but I could see the replays and the look of sadness and horror on everyone's faces. It was gut-wrenching. While on the phone I was telling the person I was talking to, that these injuries in all the sports I've watched, have taken a mental toll on me; and I just don't know what's going on.Β

Back in the 1990s, I used to watch the Summer and Winter Olympics, plus the other non-Olympic competitions those sports would have throughout the years.Β

🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

On the amazing side, the end of this game was like watching a movie. Gave me goosebumps!! Kahleah Copper getting close to bringing it home for her team, A'ja's clutch game winner, and listen, even though Dewanna Bonner missed the final shot with .3 seconds, I still was hella impressed with how she jumped in the air, caught the ball and turned while still in the air and almost made the basket.

It's not humanly possible to dribble or do anything in that amount of time besides catch and shoot, so the fact she was able to turn and shoot...WOW!

That was amazing, gave me chills.

I kept telling my husband, well A'ja's shot won the game but the way Dewanna jumped in the air and caught that ball! He kept saying "She jumped in the air and caught the ball? Let me guess, she jumped in the air and caught the ball." 🤣🤣

A'ja's reaction to her game winning shot also gave me chills. It was all like a movie! And the announcer guy is really amazing

[10/10/2025]

Alright it's Game 4, almost halftime, and....stop the bleeding!! My goodness, Phoenix has completely unraveled.Β

-I would have too, because the Las Vegas Aces are hitting 3's like crazy and by you knowing this is the elimination game, and one of your main players (Satou Sabally) was injured in the previous game, and you almost won that game, and you really were supposed to win Game 1...

-Well if I had all that in my head I would mentally be wiped out too.

-Oh God, right as I'm typing this Alyssa Thomas goes down in pain. Sigh sigh sigh sigh

-I really wanted the Mercury to get back in this and make it exciting. At this point, forget excitement, let's just end this season without anyone getting hurt again.Β

-💐❣️‼️The best moment from this game, actually this is one of the best quotes I've heard in the past several years lol, it's that serious.Β
When the announcers were talking about A'ja's iconic shot in the previous game, and how they asked her what was her response to the social media reaction. They said A'ja said, "I'm not on social media."

She mentioned about spending time with her family and watching a relaxing show. And blocking out all the noise.

I was so thrilled that that's the way she's taking care of herself. And I know she'll eventually return to social, however, knowing she stepped away and did so in a manner that shows she believes that social media is beneath her, that just helped me heal in my soul a little more lol.Β

🏀Great to see Alyssa Thomas is back!
🏀Kahleah Copper has been keeping Phoenix alive. She is so cute & I love her swag and personality.
I really wanted to see her win it all but maybe one year

Wow that coach ejection though, man, this just be too much. I'm way too old for this
--------------------
--------------------

And this is the end

We have officially about 2 minutes remaining in the WNBA 2025 season. It's been...real. I didn't watch the first half of the season because of my extreme emotional attachment to the Black players as it relates to the horrors of social media and media harassment.Β
Tons of rage for me; however, with professional help and lots of tough mental work on my end, I have healed tremendously and been able to guard my boundaries and my well-being.Β

I came in after the All-Star game and have tremendously enjoyed myself.

I stay off social media!!!!! The only thing I go to is yes it's a form of social media, the team reddit sections but they are heavily moderated, and I'm not inundated with scroll after scroll from troll after troll.

It's not stress free of course, (I'm the only regular reader on my site and this is still not stress free lol), but so far for me, as long as I'm in the right subreddit it's been a lot better for me than other social media.

At least on well moderated reddits, the topic is the topic you are reading about..

I also go the players' IG pages of course, but I stay out of the comments!Β

-----------------

Alright, I'm ready for Unrivaled.

-----------------
I was rooting for Phoenix Mercury but....

Congratulations to the Las Vegas Aces.💐🏀
