After we had our historical snow storm & it started to warm up where we didn't have to leave the water faucets dripping anymore and I didn't need to wear layers of clothes, I intended to make a post saying, "the snow was so fun but I'm glad our regular weather is back." Cause, well that's what we're used to even though winter didn't used to be this warm when I was growing up.
Here we are about 3 weeks after the snow, and it's in the upper 70's, very windy and muggy. The good thing is our humidity is not at 90% plus like it will be in a few months. The wild thing is, it's still early and mid-February and the bees are back (though they might always kind of be active in Winter), but I know there shouldn't be butterflies, wasps, lizards, and a yard full of dandelions.
It's warm!!!
I keep imagining the snow on the ground and miss it some.
Though it's way too warm for February, it's become typical for us (Gulf Coast) the past years, so in contrast to the blizzard beauty from a few weeks ago, here are some of my older pictures that represent the typical beauty that we would usually have:
Our winters are warm enough to plant an orange tree
For Moonflower to skate in shorts
To see magnolias
And water my lemon tree
