❄⛄That Day We Were Snow Bunnies

Moonflower had some playing in the ice experiences, and made an icy snow angel lol, some years ago when she was about 6. It was an exciting night at one of her aunties house and so many other kids came out playing. But we were ready for her to experience actual snow falling!
It's one thing to experience it on vacation, and we were hoping for that when we went to our favorite Gatlinburg, TN last year. 
But you want it to snow where you actually live too, lol. You want to be able to see snow on your property, apartment complex and in the area you are familiar with. And that is extremely rare for us here on the Gulf Coast..maybe once every 20 years.

But this was oh so different, incredibly different and I'm so glad she got to experience actual snow, and not just that hard ice lol, and even better that she's young enough (13) for it to still be really magical. It was awesome for me but I know it was even better for her because again...being young in your heart and mind. I still had so much fun...we had a great time. 

It was Winter Storm Enzo! Typically, we get tropical storms and hurricanes. Our very 1st Winter Storm, Snow Storm, with an incredible amount of historical snow for our area. I felt like a little girl at some points when I could move around good, lol, and a snow bunny. Free, comfortable in the snow and out enjoying nature! That is what snow bunny means to me.

Speaking of nature and animals in their habitat, my 🤍🖤🤍🖤heart and mind were also on the stray cats that live on our street and in the woods nearby. I love them all too much, I don't feed them or interfere with their routine because what if they have a medical condition, I will feel responsible. It's fine for other people but I'm way too sensitive and worry too much, so I can't just feed them and not take care of their other needs (for me, that's how I feel personally). I can't get even more attached because I'm already too attached just once I lay eyes on any cat lol.

Our cat Luna, who we took in years ago, is already so spoiled and a handful. I love all the cats in our hood, but there's a mother cat and her kittens that just take me away. I work hard to keep my distance, emotional distance and guard my heart. Lord help me. I did go out weeks ago to put a box and put the box in a cat playpen, for some extra security and hopefully slight warmth. They took off running, I felt terrible. They came back though. I have to remember that they don't know that I love them and would save them all if I could.

They just don't know that and are terrified. I hope they were okay in this weather 🙁 I have to tell myself Snow Angels kept them warm 👼🏾👼🏾I put a heating pad on our front porch, I don't think the mom saw it though, plus it cuts itself off so that didn't work at all.

So okay...back to us humans lol

So I got snow in my fro, we both had snow in our fros and I had snow on my eyelashes because the snow was blowing in our faces when we went walking, Moonflower had to turn around and walk backwards so it wouldn't blow in her eye. I was holding her by the arm and handling that snow hitting my eyes. I had to see for us lol. It was a few blocks of walking and when we turned around is when we realized ooops, the wind is blowing this way
