Finally! The good guys win. And also extremely important, the main guy has a Black fiancée. 👰🏾🤵🏾👰🏾🤵🏾
Like, this win is so personal because there's always race (anti-blackness) involved, so sports are not even fun anymore to watch. Social media has ruined every other part of life so it's fitting that it has ruined the enjoyment of sports as well.
I've had to stop watching sports that I used to enjoy.
Now I've never been a true football fan, but football is so popular that you are going to root for a college you may be connected to. Or, you're gonna root for an athlete because of their backstory, or you'll root for a city; or you root for whoever your family is rooting for so basically, there's just always some emotional connection somewhere, regardless of the sport.
Extremely emotional and it's draining but at least for the 1st time in a long time, I can say I'm on the winning side
Within the past decade or so though, the skills and competition in any sport is completely overshadowed by the crappy people watching and posting their trash takes online. Hateful people never ever shut up. I hate it here...
Okay let me stop fussing and continue to enjoy the layers of meanings behind their win, the way they won, the half time show, Serena and so on! Like how are you the best at tennis and able to C-walk like that too. She got skills, she looked amazing
