Black Christmas Movies that Sleigh
Not naughty, just nice-my list of my favorite Black Christmas movies up until 2025. So, it wasn't until just a few years ago that there were even any options to choose from. So what I'm doing is rewatching any of the ones I liked in the past so that I can list them here! And I'm cautiously watching any new ones. I will be quick to hit that stop button; furthermore, I'm not even playing any movies if the titles or plot sound stressful or depressing. I'm not going anywhere near anything rated R or TV MA.

And there are many that fit that description of trauma, sadness, drama, cheating etc but just with a Christmas tree and they call it a Christmas movie.

Noooooooo! That's not a Christmas movie.Β

Healing:

A part of my healing journey is reminding myself this: just because I say "Black" doesn't mean anything except I am Black and I like Christmas movies featuring predominately Black cast. None of this means that I care anything about what social media has to say. I'm not recommending anything based on race, I'm not speaking for Black people, I'm not worrying about history lessons, other folks trauma, podcasts blah blah blah.
It's important to get back to enjoying what I enjoy, without all the damn noise, ummm, "opinions" of people on social media. Anyway, let me shut up before I get too angry.Β

The only thing "Black Christmas movies" means is that I'm Black! Lol. And I'm watching Christmas movies. Lol! For me, myself and I!

My Healing and Halos Journey

I was in too fragile of a mental state last year and wasn't strong enough to watch any Christmas movies, even the ones I had seen before and knew they were "safe." When you are too fragile, you can't even do your normal activities.

However, I am healing, got my halo and so here I am!Β

I am for warm, uplifting, wholesome family-friendly Christmas movies featuring beautiful Black people, extravagant Christmas decorations, Christmas bells and background music, fairytale Christmas backdrops and a Christmas-related plot that is easy on my heart.

🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁

So, here's my list:

🎄Kiss Me For Christmas (2024)
On Sling, I clicked on Style Me For Christmas with Raven Goodwin whom I love. The movie instead was Kiss Me For Christmas. Someone messed up listing the movies, but thankfully I thoroughly enjoyed Kiss Me For Christmas.
It is slightly on the sexy and mature side.

🎄Every Day is Christmas (2018)
🎄Yes, Chef Christmas (2024)
🎄Christmas Time is HereΒ
🎄Inventing the Christmas Prince
🎄Let's Meet Again on Christmas Eve
🎄Holiday Rush
🎄Mr. Santa: A Christmas Extravaganza
🎄A Very Merry Beauty Salon

🎄A Heart for Christmas *
🎄Our Christmas Love Story (2022)
🎄Christmas Party Crashers (2022)
🎄Merry Wishmas
🎄Rolling into Christmas

------------
-To be continued
-When I get time, I will have a separate page for each movie with more information and my thoughts on the movies

I need to find a better way to organize this. Most likely it'll be using my blog. Okay, here is what I'm watching during November 2025

🎄Bebe Winans' We Three Kings (2024)
