About 2 weeks ago I saw where our local baseball stadium is having Winter Nights where there will be walkthrough Christmas lights displays.
Since Moonflower is in the Christmas Spirit, I thought it would be special to surprise her with the Christmas Lights display.

I'm so glad I was able to work it out as a surprise!
(Note: The Christmas tree background is a stock photo. The gallery consists of our personal photos.)

From My Lemon Tree to Christmas Trees

I was so excited to surprise Moonflower with the lights!
Because earlier in the day, my sister said that mom loved my lemons!! I was just elated. So she put mom on the phone and she mentioned how delicious they were, how the pulp was darker, and just how fresh and great they were compared to the store lemons. So we just went on and on about preservation, making lemonade, how many I have, and other lemon tree talk.

This is the first time I've grown something that someone ate and loved! I assume good cooks feel this sense of pride! I'm not a good cook so this is new to me, lol. 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋

So I was already in such a great mood.

As we were getting closer to the baseball stadium, she could see that there were a lot of lights and she said, "Well somebody definitely has something going on big and special." (Something like that).

I said, "Gee I had no idea."

So we pulled on up and I said, "Surprise! This is your surprise." 🧑🏾‍🎄🤶🏾🎅🏾🎁🌲❄️🎄

So, boy they hurt my card, practically $30 to get in; for 2 tickets. I knew that it was $12 per person but where did the extra $6 come from? I can't imagine having more than one child; it is just unreal how much everything costs.
However, I'm super grateful that we are able to enjoy these special events.

It didn't take long to walk around the stadium, and on the baseball field. I said,
"Well at least when we come to another baseball game we can say that we've been on the field." She smiled and nodded yep.

Christmas Train

She liked the (small, cute) train that was on the field. When we went to get in line for it, I was thinking to myself, "Knowing how every event nickels and dimes us, I bet this costs extra." I wasn't going to let us stand there long; so eventually I overheard the lady telling the people $7 for one option, and how much ever for another option.

I told Moonflower "it's extra so let's just get out of line." As we were walking back across the field, I didn't notice that I led us into the path of the train 🤣🤣🤣
🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Moonflower said "We're about to get hit by the train." I looked to the right and I saw the train light. We jogged a little bit to get out the way; it was so funny we just started laughing 🤣🤣Now it wasn't too close to us at all, but just enough to where I was like "When was he going to blow the horn?"

Santa's Workshop and Letters to Santa
I'm so glad that she saw people walking into another section of the stadium, because we had finished walking around and I was starting to think, "Well man, we need a little more festivities here."

Santa's workshop is where things started to come alive for us. Even though it was geared towards little kids to do their arts, crafts, and coloring; we made the most of it. I was going to be sure of it.
We did some coloring, used some of the Winter-themed sticker sheets, lots of talking and laughing.

I was also like "Wait a minute. This is my first time being in a baseball dressing room."

As Moonflower put her funny letter to Santa in the mailbox (where she mentioned 20 Lamborghinis and 5 vacation homes), I mentioned to one of the elves, "I know she's older but we're trying to keep the magic alive."
The lady just started clapping as Moonflower put the letter in the mailbox; that was so cute. I adored her energy!

She said "Y'all look so cute." (We had on our reindeer ears).

Christmas Campfire Smore's

We went over to buy the Smore's packet which is the crackers, marshmallow and chocolate. This is Moonflower at work here.
Our marshmallow completely burned 🔥🔥🔥to a crisp so it was not edible.
The guy next to us said, "Well it's well done." 🤣

I wanted to get the fire with the Christmas lights in the background.
It was crowded around the fire and kinda awkward so this is the best I could do.
I visualize it as close-up of the flames with Christmas lights in the background, while the flames are blocking some of the lights;
maybe one day we can get such a unique photo.

I Whined About Prices and then I Got Free Popcorn

🍿🍿
After we got the S'more's kit, I smelled popcorn. I was kinda surprised because I didn't even see the popcorn at first.
I was like "Oooooh that popcorn smells so goooood."
The owner: "You want some popcorn?"
Me: "Well I do but my card is looking a little thin here." While waving my car around lol
The (Black) lady near the popcorn: (holds up a bag) and says, "I got you."
The man: "She's gonna give you a free small bag." (That bag was not small though! More than what I needed)

I was smiling and going "Awwww thank you so much."
She said: "It's so good that y'all are spending quality time together"
The other man: "Yeah I saw you guys when you first walked by here and I looked at her shoes and said "Michael Jackson"
(Moonflower had on her platforms. She totally didn't get the MJ reference and I said I think it's because her shoes were shiny like Michael's used to be)

When she handed me the popcorn I was like "You guys are angels, thank you so much, Merry Christmas."

🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
After we left, Moonflower wanted to go walking around the outside of the stadium. And while it's cute and family-friendly with a park and piers, baby it was night time and no way, mama's nerves can't take it.

I joked, "Baby we live in the USA."

Now I used to walk around at night with her a lot by myself, when she was a toddler; but this is when a bunch of other families would also be walking around at the pier.

The mall was going to be closing soon, but we had enough time to get there. So we went to the mall so she could walk some more! And we got Auntie Anne's.

On the way home, the last song that played was the Jackson 5, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.
I was like "Ohhhh, the perfect song to end the night."
